Police Department

The District Police, Nalgonda is the law enforcing agency in the dist. The Supdt. of Police is solely responsible for maintenance of L & O, detection and prevention of crime. He is assisted by One Addl.SP(Admin), 5 SDPOs and 19 CIs including Inspector SB, DCRB, CCS and Traffic.

Basically the Police is supposed to maintain L & O besides prevention and detection of Crime. As a Law enforcing/prosecuting agency it is the fundamental duty of the Police to bring the offenders to book and to prosecute them in the Courts of Law. The Police shall maintain cordial relations with the judiciary and the Collector & Dist. Magistrate, Nalgonda. The Dist. Collector shall be kept informed of all-important matters concerning the Policing.

Procedure laid down in the Cr.P.C and other Govt. rules are strictly adhered to and various trainings introduced by the Govt. are being imparted to the Police personnel in the dist.

Different proformae concerning to the crime and criminals devised by Govt/Co are post to use which are giving encouraging results.
